Stay on board

7 days, 6 nights we’ll spend on board of Okyanus. We’ll sail to a new location every day.

A day during the mermdreams retreat

Imagine waking up with the sun…

Gentle yoga in the morning to wake up your body. When the bell rings you know breakfast is being served. After breakfast we’ll spend time in the water. We’ll transform into magical beings there. You take some time to dry in the sun on deck. There is the bell again, it is time for lunch.

In the afternoon you’ll spend a lot of time having fun while exploring your mermaiding skills and the magical surroundings. You’ll loose track of time and at once you’ll notice it is time for dinner. Thanks to the lovely sound of the bell you’ll know it’s time to be pampered again.

In the evening we’ll spend time sharing our experiences and growth we’ve noticed. When the sun goes down you’ll get comfortable and take time to unwind before falling asleep underneeth the stars.

Are there underwater photoshoot included?

The is a group shoot included. This will be above water. We do have an underwater photographer joining us. You can book a shoot with Murat Kaptan after registration. 2024 pricing will be announced soon.

What kind of experience is required?

If you basic swimming skills are good, you can join in. If you don’t have prior mermaiding experience we do recommend the Basic Mermaid add on option.

Which courses are included

Beginner mermaids:

The SSI mermaid, open water mermaid and model mermaid are included in the price.

Experienced mermaid:

SSI freediver Level 1 is included.

Will there be scuba diving options?

If you are scuba certified then you can join the dive master aboard for dives. This comes at an additional fee of 35 euro per dive. This will be payed in cash on board. Price can change

Do we share a cabin?

Yes cabins are shared. You can pay an extra fee to have the cabin to yourself.rnrnu0026nbsp;

What kind of fitness level to I need to have?

We spent several hours a day in the water praticing our mermaiding skills. If you feel like this is too much book a call and we’ll figure it out together.

What kind of retreat is this?

We are an active retreat. The retreat is for the mind, by being in surrounded by the calming ocean, letting go of everyday life by spending time on your mermaiding hobby. While being surrounded by like minded people.

How does the payment work?

You can choose to pay in full or in several times. If you pay in several times, the deposit is €500. The trip needs to be payed in full before we leave.

How many spots are there for beginner and experienced mermaids?

There are 6 spots for beginner mermaids.

There are 4 spots for experienced mermaids.

My plane is arriving late. Is it possible to join later in the day?

Due to the nature of the trip you need to be on board at 16h00 the latest. Check in is between 15h00 and 16h00.

There cheap hotels in Bozburun. Booking a hotel for one night can be a solution for that.

What are the terms?

Cancellation policy:

Up to 14 days after booking full refund.

Up to 4 months before departure 150 euro cancellation fee.

Between 4 and 1 month before departure, 500 euro cancellation fee

Cancellation 1 month before departure, no refund

The trip will take place when 5 people sign up. If it gets cancelled you’ll receive a full refund.

Full price needs to be payed before departure.

Flights: cancellation policy is determined by the flight compagny.

Are you a travel agent?

Do I need to arrange my own transportations?

The flight is not included. Evelyn can help you with arranging your transport if you like.rnrnIf you arrive by plane, we fly in via Dalaman airport. Transfer can be arrenged from there.

Are there any extra costs?

There is option to rent shorties on board, or book a scuba session. This is at an extra cost. We visit a town, Datça, all expenses there are for your own account.

Is there wifi on board?

Yes, absolutely! But the wifi isn’t always be best quality. We are out in the water, so the reception can sometimes be bad. For all the EU citizens joinging, Turkey isn’t part of the EU so don’t use roaming during the retreat.rnrnIn the past participants have chosing to buy a Turkish sim card.

My friend wants to join but they don’t enjoy mermaiding.

Your friend is very welcome. They can even join the freediving course if they prefer that to mermaiding. For guest who don’t participate in any program there are a few Relax, read, hike, sub or snorkel. Scuba diving is also an option. There is a dive master aboard. Scuba dives can be arranged with them. The price for them is the same as the experienced mermaid.

How much time will we spend in the water.

There are 2 planned in water sessions per day. The are approx 1.5 hour per session.

Sessions 1 is after breakfast, sessions 2 is after brunch

What is the food like?

We eat Turkish style food with a lot of veggies. There is also meat and fish. If you have food restrictions. Let us know in advanced so we can try to accommodate.

We eat a light breakfast at 8h00. After the first swimming sessions there is brunch arround 11h to 11h30.

In the afternoon there is a snack.

Dinner starts between 19h00 and 20h00.

If you want extra snacks in between you can bring them on board. There is a fridge you can use to store snacks and drinks.

I love my daily soda.

Water, tea and coffee is provided. If you want soda or alcohol you can provide it. There is a store nearby the boat at the harbour.

Hi, we are Evi & Lelie

In 2019 they we together on a mermaid trip to Egypt. And that a where we decided: “One day we’ll organise trips too.”

Both were already teaching mermaiding by then.

In 2020 Evi became an SSI mermaid instructor, Lelie became it in 2021.

This gave them the last boost to actually organise the merdreams retreat.
